Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.*

I don't want to know what the law is, I want to know who the judge is.
Attributed to Roy Cohn (1927 - 1986), lawyer

Lady Justice is blind, but she is being guided by a corrupt escort.

A decorated Army captain convicted in the shooting death of a wounded, unarmed Iraqi was simply dismissed from the military as punishment. He will not serve any time. The captain claimed it was a mercy killing. I suppose this same military tribunal on similar grounds would have acquitted Robert Blake.

The Air Force cleared senior Air Force officers of any responsibility for the sexual assault scandal at the Air Force Academy. The acting secretary Peter B. Teets made his decision without interviewing anyone connected to the rape cases, including alleged victims, but he said in retrospect that doing so would have been a reasonable step. So, just maybe voiding the dismissal would be an even better step in foresight.

Now this is justice being served. Michael, 14, was cited by a sheriff’s deputy for sucking on a lollipop while riding the bus in Santa Clarita. The deputy addressed the child as the candyman and ordered to walk to the front of the bus. The authorities have offered to reduce the penalty from $300 to $90. Maybe this deputy should be forced to work a real crime zone.

Thanks Pirate, I believe that I have them all working now. I am sure that I have my share of lawyers that I dislike, but I think military justic or lack thereof is all politics.
