Are certain religious leaders against birth control because unrestricted population growth leads to poverty, and poor people are fairly easy to control?
I don't know if it's as devious and intentional as that, but they sure don't have very good reasons. Maybe they don't want people to control too much, so they'll rely on the religious leadership. I guess that's what you are saying too. Drives me crazy.
Hello? You want to stop abortion, how about some free birth control to anyone who wants it. Why hasn't someone done this in a "needle exchange" sort of way?
