Hopper Rolls On:
More "Nighthawks' Parodies

I've got another couple of "Nighthawks" parodies for all you Edward Hopper fans, just discovered.

The first is the work of Josh Ellingson, who seems to be a pretty fine illustrator:

Here's one from a Flickr user named bredlo, which may appeal to fans of the classic Airstream camper:

If you know why a pink polar bear attacking the diner is funny (from this guy), please let me know:

Rick Veitch has a great reworking of the diner as it might look in Iraq (click it to see it bigger):

There's a Sesame Street version (among other great Sesame Street versions of classic art):

Regarding the pink polar bear attacking the diner, it's actually supposed to be an anteater. Sometime in the days of internet yore, someone found an odd picture of an anteater and captioned it. Like so (explicit language). That caught on with web sites like Digg, reddit, and 4chan, and people started incorporating the anteater into different things. The Nighthawks parody above is one of the many products of this internet phenomenon. Hope that clears things up.

By the way, I found your site while I was trying to find out where in Northern Kentucky to dump trash. Uh, I don't know either.
