I am avoiding writing about the proposal to allow guns in national parks; let’s just be done with it and have everyone strap on a gun belt and let combatants have gunfights in the streets like the old western movies. In real life even the cowboys were too smart for that nonsense. Here is the random 11:
- "All Night Long" by Diana Krall
- "Nobody Loves You When You’re Down and Out" by John Lennon
- "Bus to Baton Rouge" by Lucinda Williams
- "Changes" by Jimi Hendrix
- "Maiden Voyage" by Eldar Djangirov
- "Tin Roof Blues" by Louis Armstrong
- "Road to Peace" by Tom Waits
- "Helpless" by Neil Young
- "Honky Tonk Women" By Tim Ries
- "A Certain Softness" by Paul McCartney
- "Always Suffering" by The Rolling Stones

The wife and I were surprised when we noticed armed USNP rangers at Pearl Harbor. That site has probably been exceptional in that regard for years, given that the memorial is co-administrated by the Navy. Still, it was jarring, and I would hate to see proliferation throughout the system on that particular front.
