I've seen one movie in the the theater in the past six months, and it was "The Ringer." My verdict: it was great, but I don't know if I'd feel good spending $8 (bargain matinee, no less!) on Citizen Kane, much less Johnny Knoxville.
But you must see Narnia if only to see Aslan. Aslan the lion I want to hug so bad.
Lions are wild dangerous animals, and hugging them is not a good idea. But I really want to hug Aslan. Badly.
Rags, thanks for the link. I had seen the essay, but I never got around to reading it. That was rather humorous.
Daxohol, I will wait for the DVD. Daughter read the series, but I read that the religious groups were getting into the act, so I was turned off from even wanting to see it.
B2, I complain the whole time I am buying tickets at the Arclight at $15 a pop, but so far my experiences there have been good. People are serious movie watchers (or just courteous)– no talking, no cell phones, and there are no commercials. I watched Match Point from the front row and it was still good.
