Hiking

Me thinks that the moment my legs begin to move, my thoughts begin to flow.
Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862), writer, philosopher

The past two weekends I have gone on relatively short hikes with my buddy, who knows that I would starve if it wasn’t for his great pizza, garlic bread, meatballs, spaghetti and minestrone soup.

Here are a couple of pictures from the Santa Susanna Mountains.

Looking east from Simi Valley toward the San Fernando Valley at approximately 7:15 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 12

Looking west toward Simi Valley somewhere between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. Monday, Feb.6

Man, who’da thought it. I feel connected to you in some psycho way. Fate, I guess, is what the Swiss would call it. How’dya feel about green tea icecream? I’m agoraphobic, so this will never turn into anything real. But you can send me presents if you like.

Beautiful scenery! You're reminding me that I'm way overdue to go walking somewhere that doesn't have sidewalks.

Ahh!! Nice.. Thanks for the dream, from a cold wet Seattle.. Soon!

I dunno, you're left alone for a few weeks, and already you're off wandering the mountains and having FUN! ;-)

Hey misanthrope,

I was about to say I haven't seen you stop by in awhile and then I saw your earlier post. Sorry to hear that.

Believe me, I know it's rough.

Enjoy the mountains.

all the best.
