Henry David Thoreau (1817–62), philosopher
Allow me to brag for a moment. I was checking the stats to see who had visited when I noticed the Wall Street Journal. I followed the link and Saturday’s online Wall Street Journal listed Toner Mishap’s On The Mark’s column about "Dead Jazz."
It’s another in a list of outside organizations that have recognized or directed readers to Toner Mishap. The following is the headline to Saturday's article:

WOW!!!! Congratulations. That is huge!
Sweet! I got a whiff of how blogging has become symbiotic with mainstream journalism when the magazine I work for threw itself a big-time anniversary party and the e-i-c was impressed not only with the celebrity guests but the celebrity bloggers our arts and entertainment guy had lined up to attend. The debate over the merits of print journalism vs. online journalism will go on and on, but if we all just hook up and play nice, everybody wins!
Johnna, I was indeed very excited when I saw this and immediately sent On The Mark a note.
Teresa, on yeah, there are bloggers I would like to meet. I was pleased to have met Bitch PhD, also the writer for Planned Obsolescence, and have e-mailed or talked on the phone to Jack and Horded Ordinaries. It's a rather nice community. I am leaving out so many others, Diary of a Hope Fiend, Lone Sophist, Poliblog and a few others.
