Root, Root, Root for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Redux

Baseball is a game played by idiots for morons.
F. Scott Fitzgerald (1896 - 1940), writer

It’s a good thing that Carlos Beltran, a star for the Houston Astros, was not on the Los Angeles Dodgers, because they would have traded him in a New-York minute, while telling fans they would do all they could to keep him. The ever-so chintzy and less than honest Dodgers, who are really owned by a real estate magnet, Frank McCourt, who only qualified to buy the team when Fox (the previous owners) helped to finance the deal. Boston residents are familiar with McCourt and have nothing kind to say. The Dodgers even fired the graphic designer who created the Game Over logo for Eric Gagne.

The Misanthrope completely endorses the rather awkward Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, because the Dodgers have no credibility and they are obviously attempting to squeeze every penny out of the fans.

Since the middle of last season, the Dodgers have traded or lost six players (they are working on the seventh) and in return received question marks. Let’s not forget they also fired long-time announcer Ross Porter. There is no question about whom The Misanthrope will be rooting for. If only the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim could play in the National League the world would be right, at least between the lines.
