Turd Blossom Sets Smoke Screen

To vice, innocence must always seem only a superior kind of chicanery.
Ouida (1839–1908), novelist

When I saw the report about the vile, fascist comments from Turd Blossom, my initial reaction was to point out the utter nonsense of his remarks (Turd Blossom is President Bush’s pet name, aptly so, for Karl Rove), but this is a magnificent smoke screen to further divide the political parties in order to rally their majority in Congress to get the votes for:

  • John Bolton as the ambassador to the UN,
  • The Supreme Court Nominee, and
  • Finally for Social Security.

TB’s comments should be roundly exposed for what they are a decoy for more insidious plans. From the New York Times, here is the nonsense from Turd Blossom:

"Conservatives saw the savagery of 9/11 in the attacks and prepared for war; liberals saw the savagery of the 9/11 attacks and wanted to prepare indictments and offer therapy and understanding for our attackers," Mr. Rove, the senior political adviser to President Bush, said at a fund-raiser in Midtown for the Conservative Party of New York State.

Turd Blossom? Isn't that a bit of an oxymoron?

What madness that quote is. I saw no one prepare for war or think of comforting the attackers. All I saw was sad, scared people. And then when the shock wore off, people were galvanized to do something and some people were angry, so we directed our anger to doing something, namely going to Iraq. And once that begun, some people, I guess you could call them Democrats mostly, said "Whoa, let's not get carried away with our need to do something and do the wrong thing, such as start a war!"

I suspect it was a minority of Democrats who did not want war; many believed the sexed up, hyperbole from the Bush gang about Iraq having something to do with 9/11. But the U.S. was on a witch hunt as well as out for revenge because Iraq had NO involvement with 9/11 -- NONE!
